Autobiography-final

My name is Zhe-Yu Wu.  I have three members in my family, including my mother, my elder brother, and I.  Because my parents usually had arguments about financial problems, their marriage ended in divorce when I was an elementary school student.  The life without father's love didn't bring me down at all.  Instead, I learned that I had to be more independant than other children of my age.  Seeing that my mother usually gets exhausted after working, I have a part-time job at school to support my life expenses.  Because of the part-time job, I can reduce my mother's financial burden.  My mother is a career woman.  Though she doesn't earn a lot of money, she can always give me what I need.  She always says, "It is possible for you to become a successful man one day if you study hard.  But if you don't make any effort, you will become a nobody."  My mother is the best teacher of my life.  My brother now is a senior stuent at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.  He is also my best friend.  He always encourages me to study hard and look on the bright side of everything.  He always says, "A smile can create infinite power that you can't image."  I really appreciate that I have a wonderful family.
I studied at Department of Applied Foreign Languages, National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School.  I still remembered the first day when I sat at my desk in the classroom, and my teacher asked if there was any volunteer that wanted to try the job as the class leader.  Nervous as I was, I raised my hand slowly and said I wanted to give it a try.  Being a class leader, I had to help my classmates handle their problems and informed them of the messages from teachers or the school.  As a result, I learned how to let other people understand what I wanted to express specificly.  At the end of the first semester, I would receive thank-you cards from my classmates.  They always wrote, “You are so responsible that I want to thank you for your effort for this class.”

There were a lot of activities in which I had participated during my school life in NTCVS.  The most exciting one that deeply impressed me was annual sports meet.  At that day, I underwent the most unforgettable experience with my classmates.  Because of the desire to win the teamwork award, we all had a sense of cooperation.  Though some of the classmates didn't perform well in their events, the rest classmates would cheer them up instead of blaming them.  Finally, we reached our expectation and won the first prize.  At the moment when I knew we all succeeded,  I realized that people could do everything if they cooperated with each other.

Being an English major, I dedicated myself to English every day.  In addition to studying textbooks at school, I also read magzines such as Studio Classroom and Advanced to improve my reading ability.  Moreover, in my free time, I usually watched movies in English and listened to English songs to enhance my English listening.  Because I was earnest in all my studies, I made a great progress in every aspect.  With my teachers’ encouragement, I took the General English Proficiency Test and passed the intermediate level.  Therefore, I really appriciated what my teachers had done for me.  And I will never forget what I had undergo with my all classmates and teachers during the three years at my senior high school.
My favorite motto is"Never put off till tomorrow what should be done today."  Therefore, during the past three year in my high school life, I had finished what I was supposed to do on time.  When it comes to my studies,  I almost handed in my homework before the deadline.  Moreover, I would prepare the test which was going to take place tomorrow beforehand.  Owing to this habit, I could handle all of what happened to me well.
I am an athletic person.  When I was a high school student, I played vollyball with my friends every day after school.  During every game, my friends would praise me for my beautiful hit when I performed well.  But when I played it poorly, my friends would encourage me instead of blaming.  Because of my their encouragements, I could perform better and better and immerse myself in every game.  As a result of playing vollyball, not only did I truely realize the meaning of the proverb"unity is power", but I felt energetic after I played sports.
I am also an easygoing guy, and I like to make friends very much.  Therefore, I am always willing to start a conversation with foreign people if I get a chance.  I think I can improve my fluency and proficiency in speaking English.  After all, I have to enhance my English abilities as much as possible because I major in Englsh.  And if I can speak good English, I can absolutely have a wonderful trip to western countries.  When it comes to traveling, Japan is also a country which I want to visit.  So, in addition to English, I had learned Japanese when I was a high school stuend.  And there is a dream deeply rooted in my mind for several years.  The dream is I would like to travel around the word in the future.
I will still choose English as my major in college, for I am really interested in speaking English.  National Yunlin University of Science and Technology is the university that I want to enter most because of  their wonderful campus, excellent teachers and quality facilities.  The Department of Foreign Language offers all kinds of English-related courses so that I absolutely can make a massive progress in English.  I am good at translating English into Chinese; consequently, I hope that I can become an great translator one day.  To persue my goal, I need to enhance my English as much as possible.  I usually improve my English abilities in some weys, including reading English magazines such as Advanced and Studio Classroom every day, having a conversation with my American friends in English every week, and writing three articles in English a week.  Therefore, I can get more fluency and proficiency in English.  Moreover, after I graduate from the university, I will study abroad to sharpen my English and broaden my horizon.  Hence, to realize my dream, I really hope that I can be admitted to your university.

As you can see, I am a good learner at every aspect.  And, I can have a good chance to become an excellent student if I study at your college.  Therefore, please let me enter your university.
